Lanner today announced the release of the NCS2-IQM203, a NIC module with Intel® XL710-BM2 Ethernet controller and 2x 40G QSFP+ ports.
The NCS2-IQM203 comes in Lanner’s NCS2 form factor and is designed for Lanner’s x86 network appliances, expanding these appliances’ networking capabilities for enhancing server connectivity and network virtualization.
This advanced NIC module utilizes a PCIe 3.0 x8 host interface, providing ample bandwidth for line rate traffic on 40G ports; such design ensures broad interoperability, optimized performance and improved flexibility for virtualized environments/services, making the NCS2-IQM203 an ideal choice for enterprise IT, cloud and communication networks.
The NCS2-IQM203 comes in two configuration. While SKU A features Intel XL710-BM2 Ethernet controller, dual 40G QSFP+ ports and MPO output in multi-mode, SKU B features Intel XL710-BM2 Ethernet controller, dual 40G QSFP+ ports and LC output in single-mode.
