Lanner (6245.TW) today announced the release of the VES-500, a RISC-based 203mm x 160mm single board computer powered by the Freescale i.MX6 multi-core and power-efficient processor, delivering performance for a wide variety of industrial and commercial communications applications.

The VES-500 is designed specifically for projects that demand cost and power efficiency, such as retail (digital signage, kiosk and vending machines), in-vehicle surveillance, industrial communication (HMI, gateway controller) and building automation (alarm, security).

The VES-220 (type2) and the VES-270 (type 6) are highly integrated Computer-On-Modules (COM) that support system expansion and application-specific customizations.
