Lanner today announced the support, on the NCA-4035 and the ECA-4035, for both Intel Xeon D-2800 and Intel Xeon D-2700 Processors Series, codenamed Eddy Lake D/Ice Lake D, making available GPU-accelerated server-grade platforms with enhanced hardware security for edge AI applications such as private 5G networks.
The NCA-4035, a 1U 19” rackmount network appliance with Intel Xeon D-2800/D-2700, is known for its ultra-low power consumption and robust performance, its SoC is built for the edge and is ideal for applications in networking, 5G and IoT/IIoT edge computing as it delivers improvement in packet processing performance for vCPE use cases.
The ECA-4035, on the other hand, is a high-performance edge computing platform with Intel Xeon D2798NT/D2786NTE/D2896TER/D2899NT; it offers up to 22 cores of computing power and is designed for deployment either as edge AI servers for smart city applications or as multi-access edge computing (MEC) servers for 5G edge cloud and vRAN/O-RAN.
Both systems leverage the power of Intel Xeon D-2800 and Intel Xeon D-2700 Processors Series in order to provide enhanced security features and increased performance, when compared to the D-1800/1700 processors. What’s more, Lanner’s close partnership with Intel facilitates the delivery of industry-leading solutions with integrated security, networking and acceleration features baked in, and are optimized for edge AI use cases, making the NCA-40355 and the ECA-4035 scalable, end-to-end solutions that can be configured to realize most deployment scenarios with reduced total cost of ownership.
