The release 5G is anticipated to realize a wide range of new applications requiring the distributed networks to meet the demands of high bandwidth, ultra-low latency and real-time data processing. 5G architecture is essentially designed to take advantage of cloud-native concepts – the ability to communicate in a micro-services environment, and deploy network disaggregation and virtualization technology to deliver services and applications. At MWC 2020, Lanner will showcase our latest hardware platforms designed for SD-WAN, Intelligent Edge and MEC Content Delivery. Come visit our booth at Hall 7 (#7B2) from February 24 to 27, 2020.
MEC Server with Programmable P4 Switch
Lanner and NoviFlow will present an all-in-one MEC server HTCA-6400 that demonstrates the technological integrations of Intel scalable compute node, Intel/ Tofino programmable networking, and NoviFlow's NoviWare and CyberMapper programmable networking software. Lanner and our partners will also present how this solution optimizes information flows, minimizes latency, and makes the best possible utilization of all network and compute resources, thus reducing hardware costs, operating expenditures and even energy utilization.
Scalable MEC Platforms for Content Delivery
Lanner and NCTU have jointly launched open, scalable MEC infrastructure based on Openstack and Intel OpenNESS. To showcase the auto-scaling of the traffic and computation for the distributed edge cloud, we have deployed a PoC on NCA-6210 to demonstrate video delivery network via scalable MEC platforms in single or multiple sites, offering load balancing of low latency video delivery for a whole new entertainment experience.
LTE & WiFi Ready uCPE/vCPE Platform
For the past three years, Lanner has worked with the eco-system partners to enable ComSPs to migrate from traditional routers to whitebox uCPE, reducing their expenses in hardware maintenance and facilitating the use of multiple third-party VNFs on a single open platform. At MWC 2020, Lanner will bring the latest uCPE platforms, including NCA-1515 and NCA-4020, all designed in open architecture to interoperate with mainstream third-party VNFs.
Intelligent Edge Appliances
We will also present the wide temperature network appliance designed for intelligent edge computing, including LEC-7242 and NCR-1510, These new platforms are designed to be deployed at remote sites as an outdoor server to optimize massive industrial IoT traffic generated from large amount of connected sensors in future 5G networks,
