[San Francisco, USA - February 13, 2017] –Lanner Electronics, Inc (TAIEX 6245), a global leader in network appliances, is partnering with Versa Networks to showcase a live demonstration of their next generation software-defined security (SD-Security) solution at RSA Conference 2017 (#N4803) from Feb. 13 to Feb. 17, in San Francisco, USA. Lanner and Versa have tested and validated an integrated SD-security solution that combines Lanner’s virtual CPE equipment FW-7573 and Versa Networks highly-flexible SD-Security software. The joint solution enables service providers to centrally and cost-effectively manage software-defined security at their network customers’ sites, to delivers flexibility and cost advantages for creating agile and profitable managed services.

Network security is such a critical function that communications service providers (CommSPs) want to ensure that virtualized network security services offer the same performance and functionality as their legacy network counterparts. Recognizing this customer requirement, Lanner Electronics,* an Intel® Network Builders ecosystem member, partnered with industry leaders to assemble components of a network security solution to demonstrate to CommSPs how this technology can be integrated to meet their needs.

F.A.S.T. solutions are purpose-built modular kits developed for enhancing Lanner’s high-end network computing appliances, namely the FW-8896, the FW-8894 and the NCA-5510. These multi-functional modular kits come in the N2S, the N3S or the NCS2 form factor and aim to deliver flexibility, adaptability, scalability and transformability for all compatible appliances’ connectivity, storage and open compute capabilities.

Today sees the retrofitting of Lanner’s NCA-5210 and NCA-4210 with Intel®’s 7th Gen Core™ i7/i5/i3 processors (codenamed Kaby Lake), making both of these enterprise network security platforms even more powerful and specs-sufficient for countering today’s advanced cyber threats.
