Lanner today announced the release of the NCS2-ICM802, a NIC module with Intel® I226-LM Ethernet controller and multiple 2.5GbE copper ports.

This NCS2-ICM802 offers 8x copper ports, enabling speedy connectivity for most network services; its support for NBASE-T Ethernet, furthermore, allows for even faster speeds (100M/1G/2.5G) across common and widely deployed Ethernet cables. Benefits offered by Intel’s I226-LM Ethernet controller, on the other hand, can be best tapped into when running on kernel version 5.16 and later with the built-in driver igc, unleashing not only exceptional performance and robust security features but also energy efficiency and seamless compatibility with Lanner network appliances.
