Lanner today announced the launch of the NCA-5240, a 1U 19” rackmount network appliance designed for high-performance networking and security applications. Powered by the latest Intel® Core™ i9/i7/i5/i3 processors (Codenamed Bartlett Lake-S) and the Intel R680E chipset, the NCA-5240 delivers significant upgrades in computing power and memory bandwidth for enterprise network environments.
As digital transformation accelerates the demand for robust network security and edge computing, the NCA-5240 addresses these needs with advanced specifications. The appliance supports up to 192GB of DDR5 4400MT/s memory (ECC or non-ECC UDIMM), ensuring rapid data processing and system responsiveness.
The NCA-5240 is engineered for flexibility and scalability. It features a comprehensive networking interface including:
- 4x GbE RJ45 ports (Intel® i210-AT and i350-AM4) with 2 pairs of Gen3 bypass
- 4x SFP ports for fiber connectivity
- 3x NIC Module Slots, allowing users to tailor the appliance to specific bandwidth and connectivity requirements
For storage and internal expansion, the system offers two 2.5” HDD/SSD bays and one M.2 2280 (NVMe) slot. It also supports an optional PCI-E*4 FH/HL card for further customization.
Designed for mission-critical operations, the NCA-5240 ensures continuous uptime with redundant power options. SKU A is equipped with 450W 1+1 ATX AC Redundant PSUs, while SKU B features a 350W single PSU. The system maintains optimal operating temperatures via four smart cooling fans and a passive CPU heatsink.
Additional I/O features include a RJ45 console, two USB 3.0 ports, and a keypad display for easy management.
