TCO Advantage

Segment Routing offers Service Provider both a flexible and scalable method of source routing, which is essential for deploying large-scale Software Defined Networks (SDN) for 5G, mainly to ensure Quality of Service (QoS) for 4K and 8K streaming IP video.

Lanner collaborate with Noviflow and Bell Canada to build the MEC platform that enables SRv6 service chaining at the Edge. With, the consolidated MEC server features multi-node compute blade and P4 programmable switch to enable SRv6 segment routing with combined network security, load balancing and CGNAT function.

Reduces Total Cost of Ownership

Lanner MEC platform has reduced a significant percentage of telecom deployment expenses, space and power consumption. Compared to traditional, core-driven architecture, the virtualized MEC server can reduce the total cost of ownership by 89%, save 75% of the space for data centers, lower the power consumption by 67%.
