New Taipei City, Taiwan, April 6, 2021Lanner Electronics, the global leader in Whitebox Solutions™ for Network Communications, Security, and Software-Defined Networking (SDN), today announced that it has joined MEF, the world’s leading industry forum of network, cloud and technology providers, to accelerate the development of Whitebox Solutions™ for SD-WAN, Open RAN, MEC and SASE. By closely collaborating with over 200 leading global organizations, Lanner aims to deliver a full range of MEF 3.0-certified network appliances that address the industry’s challenges in network disaggregation and ensure seamless interoperation for next-gen 5G communications.

With advancements in networking software, such as SDN and NFV, communication service providers and carriers are evolving their new services via new levels of flexibility and agility. To address the needs of high availability cloud computing, Lanner introduces its NEBS-compliant HTCA-6400 HybridTCA™ network appliances. The appliances are NFVi-ready and certified for carrier-grade communication platforms for telecommunication applications. They are designed for today’s telecommunication needs, but also future-proofed to meet the emerging requirements of tomorrow. The design concept of HybridTCA™ revolves around an all-in-one carrier-grade chassis with integrated multi-node compute, networking, and storage. The advantages of this concept include modular flexibility, full component redundancy, and extreme performance. Offering fast read/write speeds and low latency with NVMe drives, the HTCA-6400 has built-in scalability to meet data-intensive workloads, such as CDN (Content Delivery Networks).

Lanner’s NCA-1516, a desktop network appliance powered by Intel® Atom® C3000, is capable of both mmWave 5G, Sub-6GHz 5G and its Wi-Fi 6 is both 2.4G and 5G compatible. The NCA-1516 was timely introduced for addressing new communications demands ushered in by the transition to last-mile telecommunications. As the last mile, not only types of connectivity linking from edge devices to core networks have increased dramatically, the mix of services and technologies involved has also grown exponentially.

Over the past ten years, Lanner has dedicated itself in supplying millions of state-of-the-art industrial computing platforms that have been deployed worldwide as Intelligent Edge Appliances to perform analysis, connectivity and storage of the data generated within proximity of sensors and devices. Our comprehensive rugged computing platforms have met various specifications and standards required by the mainstream Intelligent Edge verticals. Today, we have comprehensive product lines designed and manufactured for edge AI, transportation, industrial IoT and OT network security.

In their first all-digital Embedded World Conference 2021, Embedded Computing Design has chosen Lanner’s NGC-ready Edge AI Platform as one of the winners singled out for “Best in Show” in the flourishing AI/ML industry. Lanner’s (LEC-2290E) Edge-NGC-based solution was conceived and built to meet the growing, inevitable challenge faced by faster, smarter AI solutions and the physical limits of the dominant cloud and corporate network investments, industry standards, and existing IT workflows.

Taipei, Taiwan, March 12, 2021 – With 5G driving the transformation of networks and the recovered paced at which network infrastructure modernizations are taking place post-COVID-19, Taiwan is well-positioned to provide customers with the right products and solutions. To optimize the use of a large number of edge computing resources in the context of a more decentralized, exacting environment, Lanner and Yangming Jiaotong University have jointly conducted research and published reports regarding "High Availability uCPE Integrated with Mesh Wi-FI" and "High-Performance Server Cooling Technology."

Lanner’s first NVIDIA NGC-ready Platform for Accelerating Deployments of Network Edge Virtualization and 5G Edge Cloud Computing

Taipei, Taiwan — March, 2021 — Lanner Electronics (TAIEX 6245), a global leader in SDN/NFV network appliances and rugged applied computing platforms, announces that its hyper-converged infrastructure appliance, the FX-3420, and Edge AI Appliance, LEC-2290, have been officially validated as NGC-Ready Server for Edge computing platforms. In a configuration with NVIDIA® T4 GPUs, Lanner network appliances have been tested for functionality, performance, and ease of deployment to AI frameworks and virtualized, disaggregated 5G ready network architecture.
