Today sees the release of Lanner’s NCA-5230, a network appliance powered by the Intel® Xeon®/i9/i7/i5/i3/Pentium/Celeron CPU (Codenamed Comet Lake S). This platform is positioned as a next-gen firewall, UTM and IDS/IDP gateway ideal for countering the complexities and sophistications found in most of today’s DDoS and ransomware attacks.

The NCA-5230 supports up to eight GbE RJ45 ports, eight SFP ports, four pairs of bypass. It also comes with 2x NIC module slots for expansion and supports up to 128GB of DDR4 2933MHz system memory in either ECC or non-ECC UDIMM; for storage, there are 2x 2.5” HDD/SSD bays available. Other I/O includes 1x RJ45 console, 2x USB 3.0 and 4x keypads; also available is the optional support for one PCI-E *8 FH/HL. Last but not least, the NCA-5230 is equipped with four system fans and either 350W 1+1 ATX redundant PSUs (SKU A) or a 350W single PSU (SKU B).
