Orlando, USA, Oct 9, 2023 – Lanner Electronics, a leading provider of network appliances and edge computing solutions, today at the APTA to announce its new lineup of Edge AI servers tailored for real-time Edge AI inference in transportation sectors.

Edge AI is poised to transform vehicle and railway transportation systems, enhancing safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Lanner's innovative Edge AI servers aim to revolutionize the way AI-based technologies are integrated into the vehicle and railway, addressing critical safety and efficiency challenges.

Lanner cutting-edge servers, including EAI-V330 and EAI-R530, leverage the power of onboard AI accelerators to process data at the edge. By analyzing information from sensors, cameras, and other sources locally, these edge AI appliances can enable a wide range of intelligent video analytics for transport, such as fleet autonomous driving, bus intelligent surveillance, and rail collision avoidance

Certified to the MIL-STD-810G standard, the EAI-V330 series is engineered as an in-vehicle Edge AI appliance. It incorporates the Intel® Elkhart Lake Extended Temp CPU, max. 32GB DDR4 RAM, and 7x RJ45 ports (including 4x PoE). The EAI-V330 also stands out for its AI acceleration and wireless connectivity, featuring the Hailo-8 AI accelerator via M.2, out-of-band management, and 5G/LTE/WiFi connections via the PGN removable caddy

The EAI-R530 series is an EN-50155/EN45545 certified in-rail Edge AI appliance, featuring the Intel® Raptor Lake Extended Temp CPU, a maximum of 64GB DDR5 RAM, 6x M12 protected RJ45 ports (including 2x PoE), and out-of-band management. The EAI-R530 also boasts its AI capabilities, supporting on-board Hailo-8™ AI processors and NVIDIA MXM GPU card expansion via the PCIe slot.
