Armed with years of experience and expertise in board and system design, Lanner has successfully established itself as a leading provider of design, engineering and manufacturing services for advanced network appliances and rugged applied computing platforms for system integrator, service providers and application developers.
More importantly, Lanner has been taking firm steps to cement its position as a design specialist for IoT and IoTC solutions, and one such step is the establishment Lanner’s Internet of Things Business Unit.
According to Gartner, Inc. the Internet of Things (IoT) will grow to 26 billion units installed in 2020, representing an almost 30-fold increase from 0.9 billion in 2009.
Lanner's Internet of Things Business Unit is consisted of three product divisions, and they are the Intelligent Transportation Solution Division, the Embedded Computing Division and the Industrial Communication Division. Each division offers its wide selection of embedded hardware solutions for a full range of sectors and vertical applications.
Appliances from the Intelligent Transportation Solution Division are positioned for traffic monitoring for public transits, fleet management, infotainment control systems and in-vehicle surveillance; the Embedded Computing Division, on the other hand, offers solutions for industrial automation, digital signage and machine vision; and finally, the Industrial communications Division specializes in designing hardware for power communications and ICS cyber security.
“Lanner’s Internet of Things Business Unit and Network Computing Business Unit will continue taking the two-pronged strategy to, first and foremost, design and manufacture the building blocks for all network computing and IoT/IoTC applications, and secondly, to establish strategic symbiotic alliances with industry leaders for integrated hardware/software innovations and break-through.”
