BARCELONA, Spain – March 3rd, 2025 – Lanner Electronics, a global leader in network appliances and telco edge cloud servers, today announced a strategic partnership with Arrcus, the hyperscale networking software company and a leader in core, edge, and multi-cloud routing and switching infrastructure. Together, the companies are delivering an SRv6 Mobile User Plane (MUP) Solution for 5G deployments, providing a simpler and more efficient way to build high-capacity networks with improved scalability, reliability, and lower operational costs.

The joint SRv6 MUP solution integrates Lanner’s MGX Edge AI Server ECA-6051 with Arrcus’ ACE networking platform, bridging mobile and IP/cloud-native technologies to enable advanced Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) and Network Slicing capabilities. With enhanced programmability and advanced traffic engineering, the solution is purpose-built for next-generation 5G and AI-driven networks.

The ECA-6051 functions as a MUP Provider Edge (MUP-PE) at the transport network edge, translating IP and GTP-U traffic into SRv6 between the Radio Access Network (RAN) and the data network. Orchestrated by the MUP Controller, it automatically discovers peer Provider Edges and steers traffic to the appropriate RAN location, interworking seamlessly with large-scale CU/DU deployments via the N3 (GTP) interface.

As a consolidated Edge AI server, the ECA-6051 integrates NVIDIA® L40S GPUs for AI inference acceleration, NVIDIA BlueField®-3 DPUs for intelligent networking and data offload, and Intel® Xeon® 6 processors for orchestration and control-plane processing. This balanced architecture delivers optimal performance across compute, networking, and storage to support demanding AI-driven workloads at the network edge.

Arrcus’ ACE networking stack further enhances the platform by offloading networking functions to the DPU, significantly reducing CPU overhead and maximizing AI workload efficiency. Its advanced SRv6 capabilities enable ultra-low latency, high-performance, and secure connectivity, making the joint solution ideal for scalable, AI-powered edge computing environments.
