Taipei, Taiwan, Jan. 10th, 2023 - Today sees the release of the NCA-6530, a 2U 19” rackmount network security appliance, and HMB-6130, a compute blade for Lanner HTCA-series. Both computing platforms support the dual-socket of 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processor, featuring a built-in accelerator for higher throughputs, advanced hardware-enabled security, and exceptional NIC module expansion.

According to market observation, most communications service providers will start with WAN optimization and automation, and then further consider security. Under the trend of enterprises adopting multi-cloud networks, WAN optimization and automation combined with information security protection will become mainstream. In the future, enterprises transferring traditional routers to uCPE SD-WAN will continue to rise.

Lanner today sees the release of the IIoT-I531, a fanless computing vision IPC powered by the 11th generation Intel Core i Series CPU (codenamed Tiger Lake-UP3). This particular box PC is designed for machine vision, surveillance and compute-intensive video-related applications.

Recent technological advancements in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and computer vision have enabled manufacturers to greatly increase self-driving capability in vehicles. One of the key challenges of autonomous driving technology is to process large amount of data gathered from the sensors with ultra-low latency, which requires a reliable edge computing system to enhance the performance of perception and prediction algorithms.

Intel held "Intel Sustainability Taiwan Day" on December 7, 2022, attracting more than 600 senior executives and partners from Intel headquarters to participate. Lanner, as a partner of Intel Network Builders Titanium, was invited to participate in the keynote speech, and displayed Lanner's new generation of edge computing servers, sharing how to integrate high-speed computing, multi-core Intel® Xeon® processors, and high-bandwidth P4 programmable Ethernet switches ASIC to create an open and expandable next-generation 5G edge computing platform, which greatly reduces the power consumption and rack space of edge base station servers and saves construction costs for telecom operators.

Today’s IIoT infrastructure is encountering increased cyber security threats due to the vulnerability of the use of public networks for IT/OT convergence. To add confidence in the industrial control system (ICS), Lanner presents ICS-P371, the next-generation industrial cyber security gateway.

The carrier Multi-access Edge Cloud (MEC) market continues to rapidly flourish, with IDC forecasting growth to $16 billion by 2025. As telco MEC deployments increase, various enterprise verticals are also viewing MEC as a viable option as it has become critical for mobile network operators to transform and monetize a 5G carrier network infrastructure and drive new revenue streams beyond connectivity.
