New Taipei City, Taiwan – August 9, 2023 – Lanner Electronics, a leading provider of network appliances and edge computing platforms, today announced that its edge AI server, ECA-5540, has been validated as an NVIDIA-Certified System for industrial edge computing. The ECA-5540 is designed to accelerate the deployment of AI-driven applications and data-intensive workloads at the network edge, while minimizing latency caused by data transmission to centralized servers in the cloud.

Edge AI servers bring data processing and analysis closer to the source. Deployed at the edge of networks or in proximity to data-generating devices, these servers enable real-time AI inference, low latency, and enhanced decision-making capabilities. Lanner today introduced the N2S-IPU01, a smart NIC powered by Intel Atom® Processor P5742 (codenamed Phantom Lake) and is based on Lanner’s N2S form factor.

Smart NICs such as the N2S-IPU01 aim to offload, accelerate and secure datacenter infrastructure services so that CPUs and GPUs are more readily available for running and processing large volumes of workloads such as AI-intensive tasks.

Lanner today introduced the NCA-2523, a 1U rackmount multi-core x86 network appliance powered by Intel® Atom C5325/C5315 CPU, codenamed Parker Ridge.

The NCA-2523 offers either 8 or 4 cores of processing power and features either 300W redundant power supplies or 350W single PSU. For networking, this appliance comes with 8x GbE RJ45 ports and 2x 10GbE SFP+ ports while configurations with 4x GbE RJ45/4x 10GbE RJ45/2x 10GbE SFP+ pots or 4x GbE RJ45/4x 10GbE SFP+/2x 10GbE SFP+ ports are available by project.
