Lanner today announced the NCA-1050, a fanless multi-core gateway appliance. The introduction of a platform powered by the Intel® Atom™ X7835RE/X7405C/X7203C Processors fulfills the increased demand for edge security computing and CPE driven by the prevalence of mobile devices and their various usages/applications at the edge.
The NCA-1050’s compact form factor (183 x 32 x 168 mm), relatively low power consumption and robust processing capability together make it an ideal appliance for deployment at edge settings, branch offices and retails for applications such as routing, VoIP, VPN, firewall, IPS/IDS, web filtering, email server, high-volume storage and wireless networking hub.
Intel® Atom™ X7835RE/X7405C/X7203C Processors come built in with Intel® AES-NI new instruction set for network security. The NCA-1050 supports up to 16GB DDR5 4800MHz SODIMM and is equipped with 6x SMA antenna holes for wireless signals. Its other outstanding features include 1x 2.5GbE RJ45 port, 4x 1GbE RJ45 ports, 1x console port, 1x USB 3.1, 2x M.2 (PCIe/USB3.1), 2x nano SIM slots, 1x display port (SKU A) and 1x PoE+ (by project).
