New Taipei City, Taiwan — June, 5, 2018 — Lanner Electronics Inc., a global leader in manufacturing and supplying network appliances and rugged computing platforms, launched V6S, next-generation rugged, fanless vehicle surveillance NVR. V6S is designed for public transit video surveillance, recording and analytics. V6S, being the robust vehicle surveillance NVR, can operate under wide temperature range (-20~60°C), indicating its excellent reliability in harsh environment.
V6S is powered by the 7th Generation 14 nm Intel® Core™ i7-7600U SoC (formerly Kaby Lake), offering power-efficient performance and accelerated graphics performance for vehicle computing needs.
Designed for mobile surveillance, the new V6S series offers 1 x GbE RJ45 ports plus 10 x RJ-45 PoE ports for IP camera connection, and two removable 2.5” HDD/SSD drive bays for the storage of recorded footages. For wireless connectivity, V6S is internally built with 1 x full-sized Mini-PCIe with dual SIM card reader, 1 x full-sized Mini-PCIe for WiFi, and 1 x external Mini-PCIe 3.0 with dual SIM card readers, which allow 4G/LTE module to be removable externally.
V6S comes with an external power adapter with Li-ion battery for 15 min. backup (SKU A1). The external power adapter (modeled LVP-POE936BA01) supports +9~36VDC vehicle power input, ignition on/off, delayed Power-on/off, 19V/60W system output, & 56V/180W PoE output and 18.5VDC. The capacity of the Li-ion internal battery is 2600mAh, which supplies 15 minutes system power backup.
Since vehicles are constantly in motion, non-flat road surfaces may be frequently encountered. By taking this into considerations, V6S is compliant with E13 standard and has passed MIL-STD-810G shock and vibration resistance certifications to ensure proper operations when traveling on non-flat surfaces.
