VN-2016

Overview

The VN-2016 supports 16 channels of NTSC or PAL video via an onboard dedicated H.264 encoder. Each channel is capable of compressing a single full D1 video stream and a G.711 audio stream in real-time. The VN-2016 also supports RS485 for PTZ control and a set of DI/DO and relay inputs for alarm monitoring and access control.

The Lanner VN-2016 is the first network video platform to simulaneously capture, encode, store and transmit 16-channels of full D1 H.264 video. Lanner’s network video platform utilizes the latest H.264 video codec to encode and store video with the highest possible quality. Supporting full NTSC and PAL formats, our video platforms take 16 analog video signals and simultaneously transcode them to H.264 digital format, allowing customers to build world-class network video solutions with excellent video quality.

Quad-Core Architecture

The VN-2016 processing board is built around the Intel Q35 chipset and supports an Intel Core 2 Quad or Core 2 Duo processor and 4GB of DDR2 memory. 4 Internal hard drives provide adequate local storage, making the VN2016 ideal for network or standalone deployment.

Shock and Vibration

Careful material selection and proper use of damping technology addresses shock issues that arise from internal storage. The VN-2016 meets the stringent requirements needed to eliminate harmonic vibration.

Thermal Management

The VN-2016 delivers excellent thermal metrics though solid engineering and airflow design. Internal components and mechanics are designed together to allow
for maximum cooling, providing a stable operating environment.
