VR-1208

Overview

The VR-1208 is a new entry-level Hybrid DVR that supports up to 8 lines of D1 video input and encodes to H.264 AVC on the fly.

It handles the 8 channels of hardware D1 encoding, and has 4 lines of hardware D1 decoding. With PTZ camera control, there is the ability to utilize the Pelco-P and the Pelco-D camera control all through the RS-485 interface. The alarm interface works with 8 alarm inputs and 4 relay outputs.

This hybrid DVR is built around the Intel Atom N270 CPU and the Intel 945GSE chipset. It comes with 1GB of on-board RAM and 2 3.5" hard drive bays. For external connections there are: 2 serial ports, 4 USB, 1 GB Ethernet connection, 1 VGA output and 2 RCA inputs. The VR-1208 is compatible with Windows XP, Ubuntu Linux 8.04, Fedora 10 and CentOS 5.2.

Additionally it comes with EyeShot 2000 SDK to allow the user to control camera PTZ, encode, decode, stream, set the alarm I/O, all through through the RS-485.
Allowing the VR-1208 be ideal for entry-level surveillance.
