Grow performance and bandwidth according to your needs. With Lanner’s unique modular design, five plug-in modules can be configured with up to 40 network ports including Gigabit Ethernet, bypass ports and 10GbE SFP ports.
Secure your network and protect your investment in the case of component failure with two high-efficiency 500W power supply units.
Choose from a wealth of customizable features including two removable SATA hard drives, up to 96GB DDR3 memory and two PCIe expansion slots. An optional Cavium CN1620 content inspection accelerator provides even higher throughput by offloading compute-intensive tasks from the CPUs.

Overview

Designed around the next gen Intel C5500 architechure with integrated memory and PCI-Express controller, the FW-8910 is the new benchmark for performance and throughput in a network appliance. Supporting bleeding-edge Quad-Core Xeon C5500 series processors, the FW-8910 delivers fantastic performance per Watt.

With up to five network module slots, the FW-8910 can be configured with up to forty 1GbE network ports or ten 10GbE network ports, in an array of SFP or Fibre combinations.

Supporting 12 triple-channel DDR3 RAM Dimms and two/four removable SATA hard drive bays, the FW-8910 offers customization now and plenty of headroom for hardware expansion in the future. Moreover, Lanner provides full-service product customization by working with you from drawings to samples to mass production to create a product that meets your exact specifications.
